Vrikkes clothes are designed by the very talented and creative designer Irene Haugland
Every sweater is unique and has a thought and vision behind it.
That's one of the things that makes Vrikke clothes so fascinating and special.

We want you to feel the joy of life
when knitwear becomes art.
Vrikke was established in 1993.We started in good time for the Lillehammer Winter Olympics and quickly established a good customer base.
It was a huge success for us not only in Norway, but internationally as well.
By 1995 wholesale distribution was set up in Denmark and Sweden and business partnerships formed in the U.S.A. and Finland. In 2003 we
opened up a shop in Austria which has also served our German and Italian markets.
Vrikke is inspired by elements of old Norwegian handicraft traditions and 'rose painting' as well as hand embroidery and symbols from the Middle Ages.
All our products are made from best quality wool.
Our designer, Irene Haugland is from Lunde in Telemark. As a young girl, Irene went to Oslo to study at The School of Fine Arts and Crafts. She started with fashion design but never forgot her cultural heritage. Before long she began specializing in knitwear designs that look as fabulous in the mountains of Norway as on a side walk in a busy city.
Though our products are timeless and classical in their own right, we follow the trends in fashion by effortlessly renewing and adapting without sacrificing Norwegian heritage and tradition.
